This series of posts, in the “computer” category, is rolling project about my PC. To start off with it’s just stuff I’ve done in the past, but pretty soon we should hit what I’m doing now, which is a bunch of case mods.

This was a project I did with 2 other students at university, it's a line following robot with ultrasonic sensors to prevent it from crashing, it uses visual spectrum active sensors to detect the line. All the circuitry is designed and built by ourselves. Details of the project can be found in the Report.

My take on CSS Rollover buttons

I like CSS, so I decided to use it for my navbar. Looking at the various examples out there, I decided they all either use way to many classes in your style sheet, don't work in all browsers without a CSS hack, or don't do enough. So here is my own solution, it's similar to the one I use on iamtheb.org, but that is more complex because it uses a different image for each button, and spacing images.

Winux Drive icons is a piece of software for Windows, which will give you a desktop icon pointing to each removable storage media present on your machine. The icon's appear and disappear automatically, and can be used for easy access, and to properly remove the media (right click > Eject).

This was the 2nd time I marshaled for the Grizedale Stages, again on "Grizedale South". This time I had the S5 IS, which produced some very nice shots, although I did learn an important lesson about charging your spare batteries that day.

This was the 1st year I marshaled the Grizedale Stages, I was on "Grizadale South" in 2007. A very good opportunity to take some shots, I was using the old A85 back then.

I am lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world - some of the time at least. I don't get out and enjoy the scenery nearly as much as I should, but when I do, I usually have a camera with me. This page will be a place for the cream of the crop of my photos.
